Job Description

Longevity Partners is a multi-disciplinary energy and sustainability consultancy and investment business. It was established in 2015 to support the transition to a low carbon economy in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

The company is recruiting an ambitious Dutch Speaking Sustainability Intern who can provide strategic support across our three core focus areas of Resilient Cities, Responsible Business, and Healthy Buildings.

Your role as Sustainability Intern will be to assist the advisory team and work on large impact projects at European level to reduce resource consumption and promote more sustainable behaviour and practices in the property sector.

This position will report to a Sustainability Analyst and is based in our offices in Marylebone, London, (or remotely if mandatory).

Employment Type: Full-time Internship for a maximum period of 6 months.

Industry: Management Consulting, Renewables & Environment, Environmental Services, ESG Strategy & Reporting.


The Sustainability Intern is responsible for:

  • Coordinating and understanding a large amount of environmental data.
  • Creating internal policies and procedures to manage corporate sustainability performance.
  • Assisting on building-level sustainability audits for both is-use buildings and new developments.
  • Assisting with the delivery of a range of environmental certification schemes such as GRESB, BREEAM, LEED, WELL, SKA and ISO 14001/5001.
  • Liaising with client stakeholders to develop the criteria for the delivery of the desired environmental assessment rating.
  • Conducting BREEAM In-Use pre-assessment and providing optimisation advice.
  • Requesting and Producing evidence requirements and organise them for BREEAM In-Use credits.
  • Undertaking gap analysis report / schedule.
  • Attending site visits to review progress against sustainability targets.
  • Producing reports and providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams under the supervision of your PM.
  • Assisting with the delivery of energy and carbon management services, supporting compliance in line with energy related legislation and other relevant statutory requirements.


Requirements:

  • Studying for a university degree, ideally in Environmental Sciences or Engineering, Economics, or other sustainability-related disciplines;
  • Relevant knowledge of environmental sustainability challenges, climate change legislation and regulatory requirements for energy management and emissions reduction at European level (preferable);
  • Ability to conduct research tasks, analyse and summarise data;
  • Ability to produce structured, concise, and meaningful reports;
  • Ability to manage multiple on-going assignments simultaneously;
  • Ability to work as part of a team autonomously;
  • Excellent analytical skills and mindset;
  • Excellent IT skills, including a good knowledge of Excel;
  • Diligent, reliable, and proactive;
  • Dutch Native
  • A high standard of written and spoken English. Any other European language is a plus.
